The word Accessibility brings to mind the concept of people with disabilities being able to “access” places…like the definition below:
Accessibility refers to the design of products, devices, services, or environments for people with disabilities.

Accessibility – a new way of thinking!
And yet…I believe it is a new way of thinking for Everyone!
Let me explain:
When I was injured I began to realize there were things I could not do anymore. I cant stand, I cant walk, I cant run, I cant hike a mountain trail, and I can continue with this list for a long time but….
Then I started going through Rehab I started to realize that there are many things I can do. I can roll faster then most people walk, I can use my arms instead of my legs, I can still do what I want!
The new way of thinking is this:
If you want to do something there is ALWAYS a way to do it!
Think outside the box: Can you do it differently to achieve your goal? Is there a tool you can use?
Its like problem solving, or putting a puzzle together.
I have braces that allow me to stand and walk around the house, I have a racing wheelchair that allows me to go faster than most people can run, I can (and have) used an ATV (four wheeler) to take me into the mountains.
So the next time you are trying to do something and you run into a wall or challenge, remember there IS a way, you just have to figure it out!
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments!
Travis!
